Robin Hoods Grave in Hartshead

Image
Me and a couple friends decided to take the forbidden walk up threw the forest of Hartshead / Clifton and seek out the grave of the Great Robin Hoods. The story goes; Robin Hood fired an arrow from his death bed. (which was a room in the house of the grounds) Just behind where the Three Nuns pub is on your way to Mirfield. Robin Hood of Sherwood Forest said where ever it lands he would like to be buried. So that happened, and above our a few images of our adventures finding it... We also came across a tall hollow building that stands close by the grave. Completely hidden away and over grown with ivy and branches come from every angle. The Wood carving about the door of the strange building reads 1800 something.  but we figured it has been replaced as it looks newer compared to the other decrepit and rotten pieces of timber. Regarding Robin Hoods Grave. It seems that someone took the pleasure of breaking threw the meta

Theater - Wardrobe Mistress for Wonder in Oz WYDA

I've been given a few roles over the years, but this one has been far my most challenging. I got the opportunity to costume my first play with the wonderful West Yorkshire Drama Academy . The cast was built up of over 30 children from 7-18yrs.   These lovely little bliders rewrote the two most infamous childhood stories, Alice in Wonderland & The Wizard of Oz and mate it into a trippy new age version of this classic.  It was the first real theatre performance for the society and also for a few members of the cast. Whilst hand making 50% of the costumes i also sourced, borrowed and stole (technical not stealing) to put together this array of mentalness. With the classic characters in site, Alice, Dorothy, Tin man, scarecrow/mad hatter, the queen of hearts, lion twins, the grand oz ect all got a interesting colourful modern new look.  We performed for one night (with months of preparation) and pro formed the musica

Dobcross, 1940s helpforheroes fun raiser

The company I'm working for did a charity catwalk for help for heroes . There was different military and civilian costumes from the 1940s. Dobcross hosts a 40s memorial weekend basically because they filmed Yanks there in the 70s! But it was all good fun & I got to rummage threw B Authentic's collections and put together my own outfits. I'm dress here in a 1940s Women's voluntary Service uniform. Seen with my little mate Declan who's got his adorable his evacuee uniform on.
