Costuming my 3rd play with The West Yorkshire Drama Academy performing in the Quarry at West Yorkshire Playhouse. It was a minimalistic production, set 1914-1918. Another emotional pieces written by cast members. They portrayed various personal and family traumas during the time of the World War One. Including; a priest, British army differently ranks, british nurses, flush mill owners, factory workers. it also had a movement piece and moving vocals by the fantastic Laura.

The 1940 play I costumed for WYDA second theater production of 'we will remember you' a moving performance about the triles and tribulations of various citizens during WW2.

I've been given a few roles over the years, but this one has been far my most challenging. I got the opportunity to costume my first play with the wonderful West Yorkshire Drama Academy . The cast was built up of over 30 children from 7-18yrs.   These lovely little bliders rewrote the two most infamous childhood stories, Alice in Wonderland & The Wizard of Oz and mate it into a trippy new age version of this classic.  It was the first real theatre performance for the society and also for a few members of the cast. Whilst hand making 50% of the costumes i also sourced, borrowed and stole (technical not stealing) to put together this array of mentalness. With the classic characters in site, Alice, Dorothy, Tin man, scarecrow/mad hatter, the queen of hearts, lion twins, the grand oz ect all got a interesting colourful modern new look.  We performed for one night (with months of preparation) and p...
